I can't remember the first time I heard about God boxes
or Prayer boxes.
I made mine about twenty years ago, and have used it ever since.
It is a wonderous thing to open the box every so often,
read the prayers and realize just how many of them were answered.
A fun, easy project, especially for children and Scouts
A wonderful and unusual gift for a parent or grandparent!
|Supplies needed:||Box (shoe box or craft box)
Craft knife / exacto-knife
Craft paint and paint brush
|Cut an opening in the top of the box,
large enough to easily insert pieces of paper.
I make mine between 3/4" and1" thick.
Glue string on the outside of the box in desired shapes,
hearts, crosses, doves, etc.
Cover the top of the box with a thin layer of glue
Paint the box with acrylic craft paint.
If the box is a gift, add your own prayer for the recipient to the box.
