We old foggies don't do much for the fourth anymore, Jena had plans, so we took advantage of the time and took off out of the heat again.
Casa de Fruitas stop for a stretch/walkabout potty break and fruit, something went wrong at the San Juan Mission Burger, the International on Monterey was closed, so we finally settled for the Victorian Corner in Pacific Grove.
We wandered about town, then off to the tidepools to spot the greatest seals, otters, and crabs at our feet. The best tide pooling we have ever done. We managed to avoid most of the nasty massive traffic, watched fireworks in the sky on the way home. Alas, dinner was at the Ihop at home, the only place open!
